hashtagstopthehate: When you look at this picture, what do you see? Some people would say a just another disney princess, some people would say a very pretty woman. Sadly some people would say that she’s a hoe, or a bitch who deserves to die.  Thats right, Selena Gomez has recieved numerous death threats from her boyfriend Justin Bieber’s fans. Its just not right. I understand that people are obsessed and “in love” with Justin Bieber, but its cruel and unnecessary to harass and verbally abuse his current girlfriend out of jealousy. I honestly dont get how people justify these kinds of behaviors. As if its going to make Bieber magically fall in love with you? If your idol is happy with another person, shouldnt you be happy for him? And dont you think it hurts him to know that the person he loves is getting death threats and hate mail because of him? You people need to suck it up and accept that they are extremily happy together. Selena Gomez is a talented, level headed actress, who is a role model to many people around the world. And remember she is a part of the same company that cranked out Lindsay Lohan, Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato. She’s remained down to earth and an all around “good-girl” which is extremely hard to do when placed in that type of environment.  Beliebers have every right to be hurt or upset that they’re once single heart throb is now dating a beautiful tallented woman. They’re allowed to be upset, and express such feelings, however nothing, I repeat NOTHING can condone tweets such as: “Stay away from Justin paedophile…I’m gonna kill ya in the night underneath your smell bed” or  “I will kill Selena and dispose her body.” Nobody can stay calm and level headed when receiving threats such as these. Even if someone doesnt show it on the outside, its still painful to have the knowledge that some people hate you so much, for being in love. On top of all the hate directed towards her, this poor girl has the weight of suicide threats on her sholders, as a few fans are so emotionally unstable about the relationship that they have expressed wishes to kill themselves.  Its unhealthy. For the fans, and for Selena. Nobody should have such a deep idolization and obsession for someone so that they go to leingths to kill themselves or threaten to kill someone else over it. This poor girl has to live with all of this on her shoulders, I find it amazing that she can keep a smile on her face so much. Selena you are an inspiration to many people. Stay strong. #stopthehate
